A collaborative effort begun in 1997 between Castanes Architects and Studio Ectypos with Paul Thomas of Paul Thomas Wineries was created to work on a master-plan for the evaluation and transformation of the Yakima Valley to accommodate agrarian-oriented tourism. Its focus is the qualitative restoration, design and development of the agrarian landscape and the interface with its infrastructure. The collaborative is structured to be able to adapt in size and specialization to accommodate the diverse and complex needs of each project from a territorial tourism park to a semi-rural public market
